About Us Register Class Schedule & Tuition Staff Bios Celebration Theater

Here at Worship Arts we have something for every age and skill level!

Worship Arts offers group classes in all the arts including art, dance, and music. Private lessons are also offered for voice and many different instruments. Our classes and lessons focus on teaching students fundamental skills, techniques and how to use creativity to glorify God. All classes are Christ centered, include a weekly devotional and use Christian music. Many Worship Arts classes will have the opportunity to participate in the weekend worship services at Celebration Church as well as outreach locations.

NOTE: All classes are broken down by age and skill level, (i.e., Elementary School, Middle School, High School, Adult) depending upon interest and availability of space.

Acting

Acting is a beginner theatre class, where students will learn how to act, tell stories on stage, and play theatre games. They will focus on creating and performing Christ-centered skits at Celebration and in the community.

Art: Mixed Media

Mixed Media will teach students to see, enjoy and appreciate the beauty of our world and to use the artistic talents God has given them to glorify His name.  During the year students will learn drawing, painting, collage, different types of sculpture, printmaking, and about the individuals who inspired these art styles.

Ballet

An interpretive, lyrical-based ballet is used to teach the art of worship while learning stretching, center work, across the floor exercises, and ballet technique.  Leaps, turns and expressive choreography will allow the dancer to express her love to God while becoming stronger and more flexible.

Ceramics

Students will learn the basic techniques for hand building in ceramics using air dry clay! This class will work on several clay projects throughout the year learning skills like slip & score, slab building, coil building, printmaking, and more! Students will also be pushed to think creatively by learning design techniques that will help them use their art in intentional ways to worship our Heavenly Father!

Chess:

Students will learn not only how to play chess, but also how to strategize. They will work through different chess puzzles and challenges to help them better understand the game of chess. They will learn different openings to use when playing chess, but most importantly they will learn how to use the game of chess to teach God’s word to others.

Contemporary Dance

Contemporary dance incorporates modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet. A mixture of barre, floor work, turns, and leaps will work together to create worshipful dance. Some dance experience is required.

Crochet

For absolute beginners and those with previous experience. We will learn to make useful items to keep and to bless others.  Students will have the opportunity to create scarves, plush toys, household goods, and much more.

Hip Hop

The Hip Hop classes teach rhythm, coordination, musicality and choreography within a positive Christ-centered atmosphere. Dancers develop focus, strength, and agility while having fun and worshiping Jesus.

Interpretive Movement

In Interpretive Movement (IM), students will combine the art of sign language and motion to create a visual interpretation of the lyrics to a song. While this movement is similar to dance the focus will be on the dramatic interpretation of the lyrics. Students who take this class will learn how to put emotion and grace into this simple, but powerful form of movement. Although sign language is an important factor in this class, we do not require you to have any sign language experience.

Kid's Praise Team

The kids praise team is a vocal singing group that aims to worship God completely, while ensuring that the focus remains solely on Him and never on us. They will have several opportunities to share their praise in worship services and outreach locations. This is a non-tuition class.

Latin Fusion Fitness

Experience the vibrant rhythms of Latin music while burning calories and building confidence in a fun, dance-based workout designed for ladies ages 10 and up.  This high-energy class helps you tone your body while boosting your mood as you activate endorphins aka God’s natural antidepressants.

Leaps and Turns

In this technique & conditioning class, dancers will build upon a basic foundation of various leaps & turns found within a range of dance styles.

Mini Masterpieces

Young artists will build foundational skills while engaging their imagination. They will explore watercolors, clay, collage, finger painting, and mask making. As they explore their creativity and refine their motor development, they will learn about their loving Creator and how they are His masterpieces.

Mini (Interpretive) Movement

A brand new Interpretive Movement (IM) class for 5-8 year olds. Students will combine the art of sign language and motion to create a visual interpretation of the lyrics to worship songs.

Paint, Draw & Sculpt

Students will study the elements of art and the principles of design while experimenting in painting, air dry clay, drawing, collage and more.

Praise Band (Mighty Davids)

Come and join an actual worship band while learning the guitar, keyboard, electric bass and various percussion instruments. You will read chord charts and learn music theory while learning how to follow the Holy Spirit in your music. It is our goal to lead others to Jesus using our worship. Students do not have to supply their own instruments but it would be helpful to have them in order to practice at home.

Preschool Praise & Motion

This is a perfect place for little ones to learn how to worship Jesus through dance! Through instruction in ballet, tap, and tumbling, students will develop basic coordination, strength, balance, rhythm, flexibility, and basic dance skills.

Private Music Lessons

Lessons are available in guitar, ukulele,  voice, violin/fiddle, and piano. Our instructors teach all ages and ability levels, including people with special needs. Lessons include music reading, music theory, and sight-reading. Lesson fees and times will be arranged privately with each instructor.

Spoken Words

Tehillah (תְּהִלָּה) is a Hebrew word meaning a song of praise, hymn, or adoration, specifically referring to a spontaneous, unrehearsed, and heartfelt song that pours from our soul. Spoken Words will focus on speaking God’s Word, as well as rhythmic poems, in a worshipful and meaningful way. The class will practice theatrical elements such as stage presence, projection, diction, timing, rhythm, eye contact, gesturing, and scripture memorization.

Tap

Students will learn basic tap technique while building strength, coordination, flexibility and rhythmic skills while praising God with their FEET! This is a form of dance that can be started and enjoyed at ANY AGE!

Tumbling

All tumbling classes follow a progressive tumbling program that is designed to teach gross motor skills such as forward & backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges, round-offs, front walkovers, back walkovers, back handsprings and back tucks.
