Grow Up!
Sowing Generously
March 15 & 16, 2025
Primary Text: Galatians 6:7-10
This Week’s Teaching:
1) The Golden Law
Galatians 6:7-8: Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Matthew 7:12: So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
DQ 1) What does it mean to please the sinful nature versus pleasing the Holy Spirit?

2) Doing Good
Galatians 6:9-10: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
DQ 2) Define what it means to “do good” from a Godly perspective. Does the world call some things good that are actually abominations in the eyes of the Lord?

3) Sowing Generously
2 Corinthians 9:6-7: Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
DQ 3) Explain what it means to “sow generously” and “reap generously.”

4) Rich in Every Way
2 Corinthians 9:8-11: And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.… Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
DQ 4) What does it mean to be rich in the world versus rich in the Kingdom of God?
