DQ 1) Define different types of peace.

2) False Peace
Ezekiel 13:3, 10: “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!’”... “Because they lead my people astray, saying, “Peace,” when there is no peace….”
Jeremiah 6:13–14: “From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit. They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace.”
DQ 2) What is false peace for a country, society, and an individual?

3) Stayed on You
Isaiah 26:3-4 (NIV84): You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.
Isaiah 26:3-4 (NKJV): You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
Isaiah 48:22: “There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”

4) My Peace
John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 16:33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

5) Beyond Understanding
Philippians 4:5-7: The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
