Interested in Starting a Community Group?

Community Groups are adult small groups of anywhere from 3 to 15 people that meet weekly in someone's home, in the church building or online for sharing, study, discussion and prayer. The reason we have Community Groups is to create predictable environments where participants experience authentic community and spiritual growth; an environment where God is active in the lives of its members. Group leaders have the privilege of creating environments in which seeds of faith are planted and watered in the lives of those they lead, while trusting God for the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6).

Coordinating a Community group is about creating an atmosphere in which people feel safe. It's not about teaching, but more about “asking and listening”. It’s about nudging the conversation so that all parts of the body can share what God has put in them. The goal is Life-Change through sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

God made each unique through the giving of spiritual gifts. Any personality and gift mix can be successful as a Community Group Coordinator if open to the following character qualities: love for God and people, ability to be real (authentic, transparent), humility (teachable, open), integrity in word and action.

Training sessions are offered prior to semester beginnings. Coaching is available as desired.
