Saving Samson Participation Agreement (SSPA)
February 1, 2021
Dear Worship Ars Students and Families,
We are so excited for the opportunity to present an original musical called Saving Samson at Celebration Church. The Worship Arts staff and Worship Ministry staff have been working diligently on this project for many months. Now it’s time to get the students and families involved. This letter will provide information about the performance, extra rehearsals and costumes. Please sign the last page and return it to the Worship Arts desk before Wednesday, February 17th to indicate that you have read this information and agree to participate.

Pray and Prepare: In order to keep everyone healthy during rehearsals and performances, we have prayerfully decided to film Saving Samson rather than assembling for a live production at this time. The above classes will prepare their dances and parts separately and will be assigned specific times for dress rehearsals and filming that will allow us to gather in small groups. The wonderful part about filming this musical is that our message of God’s saving power can be shared with thousands of people all over the world. We hope to be able to present a live performance of Saving Samson to our community later in the year if God allows.
Our goal is to glorify God in every aspect of this musical. Please memorize our theme verse which is Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” All participants are encouraged to participate in our 40 days of prayer and fasting from February 23rd through April 3rd and to invite their friends who do not know Jesus to watch the video performance. Daily devotions will be posted on cctri.org/samson and on social media.
Class Attendance and Rehearsals: Since we have a limited amount of time before our filming, it will be essential to have EVERY STUDENT attend his/her regularly scheduled classes AND extra rehearsals listed in this letter. Each Worship Arts teacher will hold additional classes outside of normal class times that are not listed on this schedule. Because we missed some of our scheduled classes in the fall and in January due to the virus, these additional classes will be our makeup classes. We will NOT be taking a spring break in order to make up for missed classes.
All dance students will be required to attend one or more dress rehearsals and one or more filming dates which will be held in the Celebration Church Worship Center. Parents and family members MAY attend the dress rehearsals but will need to wait outside the Worship Center during the filming so that we can keep the filming environment free from noise and distractions. We realize that you have many activities but we ask that you prioritize this schedule so that we can make Saving Samson an outstanding offering of worship to God.
Parent volunteers from each class are needed during dress rehearsals and filming dates to help keep backstage areas orderly and fun for all. Please see Connie at the Worship Arts desk to volunteer.
Pre-Dance Classes: All Pre-Dance students will be performing in an original recording called “Samson’s Song” which was written by one of our staff members, Hannah Voudrie. These students will only be required to attend one dress rehearsal on Wednesday, April 14th at 4:30pm. They will film their dance and take class photos on Wednesday, April 21st at 4:30pm. Parents MAY attend the dress rehearsal but will need to wait outside the Worship Center during the filming in order to keep the filming environment free from noise and distractions. These students will also have the joy of performing their dance live for weekend worship services on Saturday, April 24th at 6:30pm and Sunday, April 25th at 9:30am. Please read below for your costume information.
Costumes: All female students age 6 and up need to provide their own black leggings (capri length) and black tank leotard to be worn under their costume. Ballet 1 and Ballet 2 students will also need white leggings and a white tank leotard. Please buy these immediately because they will be needed in upcoming rehearsals and future Worship Arts events. In order to ensure modesty on stage and during costume changes, please do not substitute tank tops for the leotards. Students will purchase one costume per class that they may keep after the filming. We will begin accepting payments for costumes on March 1st either online or at the Worship Arts desk. All costumes should be paid in full by March 17th. If you have any questions concerning costume costs or payments please see Connie at the Worship Arts desk. Here is the link for online costume and tuition payments: https://onrealm.org/cctri/give/WATuition. Please type in the costume amount and list the name/s of your classes in the memo field so we know where to apply your payment.
Tuition Payments: Please allow us to take just a moment to thank you for your faithful support of the Celebration Church Worship Arts Ministry. It brings all of us great joy to be with you and your family each time we gather. As many of you are aware, the tuition you give goes directly to pay our teachers. We are so grateful for your timely payments!
Please pay all outstanding tuition before Saving Samson filming begins in April. We would like to end the semester in a positive manner, so your help and cooperation is greatly appreciated. Online payment is now available for your tuition and costumes. When you click on this payment website, please type in the tuition amount and list which month/s in the memo field so we know where to apply your payment.

The Worship Arts staff realizes this type of musical production requires a significant amount of preparation time. There is no additional tuition cost to you for this training. After much prayer and consideration, we are convinced that your time will be a worthwhile investment but it will take commitment from each and every family to make Saving Samson a successful endeavor. The effectiveness of each rehearsal is dependent upon 100 percent attendance. If you are not able to commit to this or if there is a conflict with a particular rehearsal or filming date, please let your teacher know immediately.
