Leaving from Tri-Cities Airport the afternoon of July 18^th, 2022, arriving back to Tri-Cities Airport on July 29th, 2022.

Cost:

Roughly $2,500 per person (we will not know the final cost until we know the total number of people going and after we purchase plane tickets). $1,000 will be due by June 15^th and the remaining amount (of which we should be able to give you a firm number by June 15th) will be due on July 10th. We understand that this is a large amount of money, but we have also seen God work in amazing ways to provide for people to go on mission trips. If you will be fundraising to help cover the cost of this trip, don’t hesitate to ask us to help you think through what that would look like!

Do I have to have a Covid-19 Vaccine to go on this trip?

The Kenyan government is starting to lift their covid restrictions so it is our hope that a Covid-19 vaccination will not be a requirement by July.

Is there an age requirement?

People all of ages are welcome on this trip, but those 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent.

Will I need a passport? 

YES! And if you don’t have one yet, it is extremely important that you get one as soon as possible. There have been some backlogs recently that in some cases have made getting a passport takes longer than normal. Thankful there are options such as expediting your passport in order to get it sooner, but still not something that should be pushed off if you know you’re going on this trip.

What will we be doing?

We will be working at Victorious Children’s Home in Kakamega (https://soworldwide.org/kenya-victorious/). Celebration has been connected with them for around 15 years and we are so excited to be visiting them in person once again! While there we hope to teach the kids the basics of piano and guitar and do a Rise-Up styled day camp for the kids, teaching them different things including art, dance, music, and sports while pointing everything to Jesus. We also hope to get connected with a local church and join their worship team in some way.

Currently, most of our plans are music and arts-related but being gifted in these areas is in no way a requirement for this trip. Ultimately what we will be doing will depend greatly on the team God gives us Opportunities for prayer ministry and evangelism will hopefully abound throughout every step of this trip.

Will we be sleeping in huts? 

For those of us who love camping, sadly no, we will not be sleeping in huts. We will be staying in a hotel while in Kenya (though it's still a third-world country so don't have the expectation of an American hotel).
