March 14, 2020 update:

The staff and elders of Celebration Church have been actively monitoring and planning for possible coronavirus impact. We should be prudent in our decisions while still recognizing we cannot be led by fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 states, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Trust Him fully in every moment of your life and pray for those who are working diligently to put an end to this outbreak.

While there are few confirmed cases in our area, the Governor has asked for large group gatherings to be limited. We are living in times of uncertainty and confusion. This time of uncertainty is an opportunity for the church to be wise in what it does, while also taking the opportunity to point people to Christ. As a result, Celebration Church will make the following adjustments to this weekend’s schedule:

1. Services in the main worship center (Saturday 6:30 & Sunday 9:30 and 11:15) will continue as planned, however, we encourage everyone to view online. While we will have services in the main worship center, there will be no INCURRENT service. Also, there will be no children’s or youth ministry programs either day or nursery/child-care provided for any service.

2. The services will include worship and teaching and we recommend you gather at home and join online. However, if you wish to attend, the doors will be open, and you are welcome to attend. We do ask that only individuals who are healthy and who are not in high risk groups attend.

3. This schedule adjustment only applies to this weekend (3/14 & 3/15). We will be closely monitoring the situation and make announcements as necessary (via email and Facebook) regarding any future schedule changes. We know many churches are making difficult decisions about their weekend services. We encourage people to remain faithful in prayer, serving, and giving to their local churches during this time as the church continues to minister in their respective communities. In addition, we are working on the development of a plan to assist those most at risk and for families who will be most affected by school closures, etc. We will announce the structure of this plan in the days to come.

In support of the recently-declared National Day of Prayer (March 15th) and in the days to come, let’s pray for those in our government making important decisions, for our medical professionals who are working tirelessly to minister to those suffering, for those who have already been affected by this virus, and for a speedy end to this difficult time.
